Linking 2 S3 units together for 32 faders?

In the user guide, it states that only 1 S3 can be connected to EuControl at a time. Is this a hardware limitation or software? If it is a software limitation, can the possibility of linking 2 or more S3 be available with software/firmware update?

Also, how do you get the S3 into Vegas mode? I have tried searching for this with no luck.

I saw that video. But how do I get it in that mode? What button combinations should I use while powering up? I can't seem to find it in the user guide.
