Hi,
I just deleted my preferences files to check for an issue.
Now my MDW v3 plug ins are requesting a challenge response.
I have updated my iLok MDW licence to V5.
This plug in (V3) was working fine until I deleted the preferences.

My system:

Mac Pro Quad Core 2.8GHZ OS 10.6.8 12GB RAM
Pro Tools HD2 version 10.3.7
MDW plug in version 3.0.0r14

Thanks for any help.

I'm guessing that in this particular situation, your forum user name does not apply. :-)

From what I can see, you upgraded from MDW EQ v3 to MDW EQ 5 in February, 2013, surrendering your v3 license for the v5 license.

You would go to http://account.avid.com and download the MDW EQ v5 32-bit AAX installers for Pro Tools 10 from your Avid account (I checked, they are there under Your Products). Your Avid account shows that you have not logged in to it since around the time you purchased the upgrade, in February 2013.

I have no idea why or how the MDW EQ v3 would have worked after surrendering the license. Unless you just recently transferred the v5 license to your iLok, and that is when v3 no longer worked. Since you have an HD system, you would not have the TDM DSP in MDW v5, but you would have the native version as AAX.

See this post in the AAX forum for additional info you might be interested in:

Also...
Now my MDW v3 plug ins are requesting a challenge response.
That's a false error generated by the auth software; MDW has never used C/R authorization, only iLok.

This worked. Thanks again Bruce.
I must not have installed them and only realized this yesterday.
Happy Holidays!
