Hi All,

Just finished my upgrade from an HD3 Accel system to an HDx on a newly build PC.

I used following hardware:
- Gigabyte GA-X70-UD3
- DDR3 1866 16GB Corsair Ram (4x4GB)
- Intel Core i7 3930K (3200)
- Asus 1GB DDR3 EAH 5450 Radeon Graphics Card
- LG BH10LS8 Blu-Ray Drive
- Corsair SSD 480GB Force GS (Bootdisc)
- Windows 7 ultimate x64 ENG
- Be Quit! Darp P P10 850W ATX Power
- Aercool Strike-X Black - Full-Tower Case
- Artic Freezer i30 (CPU Cooler)

Needless to say - THIS SYSTEM ROCKS ! No issues at all installing HDx and ProTools HD 10.2

I have to say there's a downside to it. When looking at my DSP plugins it's been enormously reduced to only AVID plugins. I do hope Waves got to see the light and build AAX Native AND AAX DSP versions ! At the moment some of my other plugins already are AAX Native but still waiting for the DSP versions :-)

Just wanted to share this with the group :D

Kind regards,

Philippe Meiresonne

Your system is almost identical to mine. No issues so far, and very powerful. ;)

We are very close to seeing many more DSP plug-ins.

Philippe, just so you know, Avid produces two totally different cards HDX and HDx (for Venue systems). Good luck with yours!
