a few questions

Few things I didn´t understand from the site or the live chat:

1) Why is it 2099€ to go from 7HD to 10HD while it costs 850€ from 9HD to 10HD and 299€ for the 9HD upgrade. Why would anyone pay 2099 when you can pay 850+299 instead to get from 7HD to 10HD?

2) They mentioned an amnesty for people who bought PT9 after Okt 1st. Is there also one for the ones that bought PT9HD after Okt. 1st and if yes, how do I get the amnesty in the avid store?

3) What session parameters are lost/dropped when saving as PT7 format from PT10 format?

4) AS handle length seems to be 60s maximum. How will I know PT will drop parts of a given underlying file when I render it? How do I decide wether to just hit "process" or duplicate the regions on a second track before?

5) When doing a cross-grade from PT7.x HD2 PCI-X to HD Native PT10, is PT10 included in the cross-grade price or is it another 2099€ for the software?

6) The Command-8 isn´t supported any more in PT10, correct?

7) The HD cards can be used and the 192 I/o but the sync i/o was dropped from support. Will it still work in PT10?

Does anyone know?

According to this page, if you bought and HD system (TDM or HD Native) after October 1, you are eligible for a free upgrade to HD 10.

And the Command 8 and Sync IO (and blue Sync HD) will continue to work in PT 10, but not after that.
