PT 9 cant recognise hardware

Hi, This might be a really stupid question, but I bought PT9 and am using it with Win 7. When I installed, I was informed my hardware was not detected and am now unable to complete istallation without hardware!

Am I wrong but isnt PT9 suppose to be able to be stand alone or have I got this wrong?

I dont have any other versions of PT or any Mbox hardware.

Any help would be appreciated.

I Believe you need to purchase an "Ilok" before PTs9 will run. It is stand alone with out the need to and external hardware, But the Ilok is your so called "key to the car" if you get my drift. I think the Ilok can be purchased for 40 bucks.

You either need an ASIO interface or a sound card using an ASIO driver like ASIO4ALL.
