Recording doesn't start

Before I moved to PT 9 I could hit the number 3 on the number keypad and the track that had the record selected would begin to record. Now what happens is the stop, start, and record butons engage but it doesn't start to record. Does anyone have an answer for this? Thanks.

I have the same problem. Are you using Lion 10.7 on a Mac?

that is a known bug, usually rebooting Pro Tools helps.

No need to reboot (for me anyway). Just go to the playback engine and select a different buffer (128, 256, 1024 it doesn't matter) then immediately select the buffer you were using again and press OK. That should sort it out, for a while at least.

I believe it's a Lion problem and we are all eagerly awaiting an update.

:mad:I changed the playback engine size and rebooted and still have the same problem. I spoke to the tech and was told it is a mac lion 10.7 problem and they are woking on it. I wonder how much longer it's getting old.........

meanwhile, just use cmmd+spacebar. it's 2hip, 4real...:D sb
