PT9 and ilock question

Question:
Having a 003 connected to the PC would we still need the iLock key plugged in in order to use PT9?

Can't find that info anywhere.

U have to have iLok when using PT9,no matter what audiointeface is connected.
Got this information from avid guys.
U have to download new separate audio drivers for your 003.
