ProTools Essential on PPC Mac?

Is it compatible? or only on Intel Macs?

I'm running 10.5.8 on a dual 2Ghz G5...

Finally got around to purchasing a used Intel Mac... 2.8 GHz eight core running 10.6.8 with 5GB of RAM...

But I get failed install errors when I try and install ProTools Essential 8.0.2 off of the original disc I received with the Vocal Studio bundle.

At first, I would get the "running package scripts" hang on installation, but then unchecked the installation of the loops and demos. Now it "finishes" installation, but with the failed install message.

Any thoughts?
