Am I ready to run pro tools on my laptop

I have an Asus laptop with an Intel core 2 duo with 4 GB of RAM, 64 bit with Windows 7 home premium. So I was wondering if these are the right specs to run pro tools. Ive tryed to read the website but it gets all to confusing for me...lol I just wanna record music. So if someone could look over what I have and let me know it would really be APPRECIATED.

Well with your 64bit OS the best you can do right now is in BETA and that is PT V8.0.3/4b. You could wait until the final version is out. As far as your computer is concerned... Post a Sandra report (http://duc.digidesign.com/showthread.php?t=193637)and we can take a look. You will need a second hard drive Not USB.
