View Full Version : DD Client: Email Address Cannot be Selected

We've been using the DD Server and Client for a couple of years with great success. I just recently upgraded to Mac OS 10.5.7 onto a user's computer and we are having one minor problem with the DD client: The interface does not respond when we try to select email addresses from the Address Book. Reopening the Address Book pane sometimes makes it work, but later it will stop working again.

Is this a known issue and is there a fix?

Did your problem occur on a client machine that was upgraded to Mac OS 10.5x? or on a new install or different version of the OS?

I am wondering if the DD client is actually a Java App, and if the OS install modified the Java environment, causing some conflicts.

We tried trashing the DD client prefs, as well as do some fiddling with the Java Preferences. At first the problem seems to go away, but then come back again. We never had the problem BEFORE upgrading to 10.5.

Any clues you could give me might be helpful for troubleshooting.

Its happens on both of my machines that were fresh drives then fresh install of 10.5 then combo updated to 10.5.5 on one machine and 10.5.6 on another machine.

so the os was not upgraded. . it was fresh.
