Hi all,

I'm trying to get started working in PT8 but I didn't realize how much I use the Pro Control until it wouldn't work.

PT 8 can't find my Pro Control in 10.5.5

Model Name: Mac Pro
Model Identifier: MacPro1,1
Processor Name: Dual-Core Intel Xeon
Processor Speed: 2.66 GHz
Number Of Processors: 2
Total Number Of Cores: 4
L2 Cache (per processor): 4 MB
Memory: 3 GB
Bus Speed: 1.33 GHz
Boot ROM Version: MP11.005C.B04
SMC Version: 1.7f8
OS: 10.5.5

Pro Control with 3 expansion panels attached directly to ethernet 1 (en0) through a compex hub
Network connected to ethernet 2 (en1) and working fine.

Also does not work with a direct connection from Mac to Main control unit. (taking the hub out)

Have tried both ethernet ports.

This set up works fine in Tiger and PT 7.4 (installed on a different drive, but same machine)

I've tried changing the port service order, turned off firewire networking and tried reducing processors for RTAS although I'm not running any VIs.

Any suggestions would be helpful. I've spent 3 days trouble shooting and can't find an answer.

Thanks!

Steve

Here's an update. I got it working. What I had to do was power cycle every panel while connected to PT8 with the check mark on enable in the set up peripherals set up.

I hope that helps someone else. I've never had to do this before, it always discovered my Pro Control upon hitting enable.
