Hello,
Three times in the last 2 days, while our venue D-Show has been on in the shop, it has gone into backup mode. The monitor goes blue, all the led scribbles turn from green to red, and since I have never seen this before, I have no idea what to do. Does anyone know what this backup mode is? I updated to 2.6.2 yesterday.
Thanks!

Johnny,
While we seem to have worked out the issue over the phone I thought I'd post some tips here for any users who unexpectedly run into Backup Mode in the future...
Backup Mode occurs when the DSP's lose communication with the D-Show software. This can happen for a few different reasons:
Hard Drive... If the hard drive loses power or loses connectivity with the motherboard. Verify that all cable connections are solid.
RAM... Bad RAM or poorly seated RAM. Use a diagnostic utility (such as Microsoft's Windows Memory Diagnostic http://oca.microsoft.com/en/windiag.asp) (http://oca.microsoft.com/en/windiag.asp) to verify RAM integrity.
Plug-ins... A misbehaving plug-in or a copy-protection issue. Did the Backup Mode coincide with a plug-in loading?
Forced Restart... When you push both of the Reset buttons on the front the motherboard is forced to Restart. This in a sense simulates a computer crash.
I hope this helps!
Thanks,
Rich
