Having a Venue with 2 HDx Cards, and a PT HD3 Rig, How many Channels can I record?
using 3 Digi Link Cables (one to each Card on the Mac) gives 3 x 32 Channels = 96 channels???
is that correct?
Thanks!!

Hi Andi,
Let start by breaking out the various HDx ports and seeing what signals they carry...
HDx1, Port A = Stage Rack 1 inputs 1-32
HDx1, Port B = Stage Rack 1 inputs 33-48 plus HDx1 assignables 1-16
HDx2, Port A = Stage Rack 2 inputs 1-32
HDx2, Port B = Stage Rack 2 inputs 33-48 plus HDx2 assignables 1-16
You can connect any combination of ports to get the desired combination of signals. If you're not using a second stage rack then the most useful configuration is described in this thread. (http://duc.digidesign.com/showflat.php?Cat=&Number=1230837&page=0&view=collapsed&sb=5&o=&fpart=1#1230837)

So Sheldon, what you're saying is that I can come out of ports A and B simultaneously on the HDx card into my PT HD3 rig for a total of 48 tracks plus 16 assignables?

Yep - that's it exactly. Plus you'll still have an Accel card available in your HD3 rig for connecting another Pro Tools|HD interface, if desired (e.g., for local monitoring, or add'l I/O).
