Hi there boys & girls just updated my pc it has an ASUS P5B M/B with a E6600 core 2 duo running with 2 gig of kingston ram. I am using protools mpowered 7.3.1 and everythings been fine until i started long sessions up to 2 hours with lots of tempo changes as soon as u try to move any tempo markers the pc locks & the only way to end this problem is to do a hard reset. i have tried many things and have even wasted over £10 on the premium digi no. They told me to get sandra to analise my PC yea right! one thing i have found is that if i change the processor to 1 instead of 2 in the playback engine in protools its not as bad but still crashes eventually. I am baffled as to why this is as i have a laptop with half the power & it runs the same tasks with no problems at all! please can anyone advise as dididesign dont seem to have a clue what is hapenning
