Are there any plans for a Mac version of D-Show either for the remote function or for onboard the FOH rack?

Hi Matt,

There are no plans to do a Mac version of the Standalone (offline) version of the software, nor are there plans to do a Mac version of the FOH Rack. The embedded version of Win XP was chosen for the FOH Rack specifically because it is a highly customizable OS, which allows us to optimize the system for faster boot time while preventing unnecessary processes from interfering with core processes and allowing tight control of hardware drivers for maximum stability. In the nearly 18 months and several thousand shows since D-Show was released the OS has proven to be very robust and reliable.

Mac users aren't completely excluded, however. The Standalone software runs fine under Virtual PC, and a Mac version of the VNC client (used to access the console remotely) is included with the ECx software CD.

Also keep in mind that newer, Intel based, Macs can run WinXP under Bootcamp, which will allow you to run the D-Show software.

hi, works great on virtual PC 7 under MAC OsX 10.4. I Configure all my shows with it.
