Does it exist, or a trick to do that ?
I want to solo a certain group of channels, seperate from the normal procedure where you also have the faders grouped.

thanks

Select the tracks you want to solo.
“Shift-Option-Click” the Solo button of one of them.
This works as intended even if one of the selected tracks is a member of an active group (i.e. it won’t affect the other members of any active group).

IHTH.

I've been asking for a "solo-only" type of group for a long time. Now with the VCA style grouping in 7.2 it seems like it's possible.

With the grouping attributes in 7.2 you absolutely can create a group that does nothing except link solos.

Or record enables. or inputs, or automation, or volumes, mutes, pans, sub sends, all sends, plugins................

etc.etc.etc.etc.etc.etc.etc.etc.etc.et.etc.etc

And then, just for fun you can control it from a VCA.

which has some very cool solo logic.

Check it out - you'll love it

Here is another way if you are not in 7.2 yet.

Create a memory location that is not a point in time but a view only.
Show only the selected tracks you want for solo.
Then you can:

Select Mem Loc
Option+Solo
