Hi,
I need to slow down a mix to track vocals to and speed it up again to give vocals that chipmunkish sound...like we used to do with reel to reel machines.
I've searched all through the app and the docs but haven't been able to figure out if it's possible. I seem to recall recording that way (I was on the other end of the mic then) on a Pro Tools system in the mid 90's.
I'm on a dual G5 using Pro Tools 6.9 LE with a 002 Rack and OS X 10.3.9.
I can go to 10.4.5/PT LE 7.1 if necessary.

Thanks in advance for any help :-)

You can record at half speed with ProTools, i think it's done by holding "Shift" when starting the transport. This works with both playback and recording.

Im not sure if it works with Pro Tools (recently started with PT after worked with other DAW before), but if it works, try to record in 44.1K and playback in 48K (or if its the opposite...) , and it will be about the same effect as the trick with old 2" tracks etc or giving some extra energy to the vocals

If you have access to an ADAT with vari-speed, you can lightpipe and clock to the ADAT, and use the vari-speed the same way you would with the tapes.
