i just installed winxp and mpowered. im using the fw audiophile. i did everything in the quickstart guide as far as tweaks and stuff. when i load the demo session filtered dreams, it may or may not play. if it does, as soon as i move a window the sound starts to distort or it stops playing. if it doesnt start , when i press the play button the stop buton lights up similtaneously and the song wont start. also i have never closed m-powered fully it never closes. even when i use the task manager and end task it will not close. from that point i must restart to destroy it

What chipset does your MOBO have?, Is it possible you have a faulty ram module?

You may want to take a look at my recent thread:-

Also look below..I'm not to sure from what you have listed if your processor is even supported with PTMP.

Hi
well ive tried everything and have gotten it to work. i had to turn my sample rate from 512 t 256 which sucks because i bought this maudio card to use protools and i already have a brand new emu 1820m. well i can import a audio track and play it but when i make a new track to record vocals i cannot record enable it through the mixer. the interface selection menu i gray all i can select is no input. thats a new blank mono track btw. so i cut the beat out of the imported track and paste it into the new track since the imported track can be record enabled, hit record and it wont record audio. i hit stop and then play , wow, it wont play again. the play and stop buttons light up simultaniously. so i cant play anything i have to restart protools. i close protools it hangs and wont shutdown, not even through the task manager. so i have to restart everytime i want to close protools.

here is my sytem info and chipset stuff

Ok your processor is supported, but it seems as though your chipset is not.

Did you actually read through the link I posted???
