tdm os9 and midi ?

hello every one i am making a short visit in your forum

i run reason from my ptle 10.4 and mac osx as a vst plugin and trigger it with an external usb keyboard

i was wondering weather i could do the same thing in a friends tdm with os 9 ?

if not what options do i have that dont include buying a midi card
