"NuVista is stuck on a frame"

I've been getting this message regularly recently. Any help in tracking this down will be very welcome.

We're using 4.0 Nubus, a microlynx which is connected to a digibeta, but the fault also occurred with a SP Beta.

Cheers,

The only mention I can find of this error message gives an somewhat unconclusive resolve.

"Once fixed by replacing ATTO card."

Thanks for the reply Jon,

I can get this fault by unplugging the video sync lead from the beta! Still having some trouble here!

This might be connected.....
I arm the Beta to record (via Ext Deck Control, in this window the beta is "on" and "Master" and the only other "on" is TCG for mixer automation) and use the Audiovision in it's Master mode (in Deck Control).
I select a drop in point on the Audiovision's timeline and press play. The Beta rewinds and drops into record. This (apart from the recent error this topic started with) works fine.
But, trying to chase this fault, if i don't arm the Beta to record, it will try to play, then stop. I got this message in the console window. "Slave mode message: Not enough time to sync decks." and "There is not enough time to synchronize. The position is -30 frames from the coincident point."

I have deleted the serial port preference, used comm closer, deselected then reselected Modem in serial ports window, used a new Mac serial cable between the Microlynx and the Mac.

All ideas welcome!

Excuse the lengthy post.

i seem to remember that this would happen to me when after i had just digitized something into the audiovision and i would take it out of record if i didn't remove the video patch going from the beta to the audiovision this would occur. i think it was getting confused seeing the video signal from the beta at its input but wanting to see what was in the audiovision.

let me know if that helps
